I found 2 extraordinary pieces of art glass today at the swap shop for $30 each - I figured out the first piece which was a Christian Thirion...
that heavy glaze reminds me of cowan pottery figure pieces...
the bottle is cameo glass - acid cut back - I would have thought Baccarat but St Louis makes sense as well...

this vase is probably Austrian - it is very typical of their wares - it is influenced by teplitz / amphora / stellmacher pottery/porcelain wares...
is there a tiny hole somewhere for a hanger? it looks like a ornament to me...

I'm guessing that someone knew what it was because the 3 vases sold 4 over $600 when you add tax in - and I know the last 2 vases are worth less...

I found one on eBay that someone is calling murano with a word search for "sommerso vase signed" - they have a much better pic of the signature...
