The pics are kind of small and blurry, but if that is all hand carved it's very nicely done.
The inserts are supposed to come out of the old originals. Look at the ads at the crystal ball article. Look at replacements.com and you can see...

I think the pot in the center with the handles is French. I could be wrong but that text that I can make out looks to be French.
