It wouldn't hurt it a bit to drill a small hole in the base of the nose 90* near the threads. You'll know immediately what metal it is.
Try to drill a 'hidden' exploratory hole in the base of the nose cone. Same in the body and see what happens.
Maybe those are left hand.
