They have been making reproductions of lots of glass for quite some time. 80's is quite possible.

Agree with James. Unfortunately I as guilty of buying old brown furniture for the lumber value alone. Comes in handy for restoring pieces.
Looks rather like a number of Hocking Glass patterns. Not near my books at the present time, but these should be easy to identify.
