Aquitaine is right, these are printed velour throws as opposed to woven. These were made in large quantities in the teens, 20s and 30s.
I would definitely strip them; nice pieces but that gold paint is ugh :yuck:. Black paint on the planter would also look great as @very brad...
No idea on maker but these all look like Japanese tea ceremony items to me. Some nice pieces.

To me it looks like an early 19thC English pencil and watercolour done by an accomplished amateur. Reminds me of the "grisaille" colour palette...
The conical one looks like a toasting glass. I'd say the oldest one there though there are better minds than mine on here...
