Kiko's right, boxwood is generally pretty weighty and resin is light. I guess it's hard to gage with the base stuck on..
Yeah, I would have guessed 80s or something close...
Good point, I know they can imitate grain and though boxwood darkens with age and handling, there are some anomalies with where the staining...

Beautiful, I love bugs. I think the incised mark is a "W" and is the potters mark (as opposed to the decorator or factory..) I could be wrong.
