I just bought this bowl for roughly £50 because I think the quality of the Maki-e painting is very fine at that price, yet I’m unsure of its age....
UPDATE: I finally found the maker of this comb… this inro bears a very similar peony, and the signature also matches…according to the auction...

the maker also signed on the package (wooden box) at the back of the lid, so yes I believe :p and the description on the front of the lid matches...
