It’s Chinese, but the mark looks European (to me anyway) and not Chinese in the slightest.
I think it’s time to increase the admissible size for photos so that more detail can be seen.
Has anyone ever come across a mark like this on antique Chinese porcelain? It looks almost European to me.

It’s definitely not pewter. Pewter is much more grey in colour. Maybe silver plated? It’s a really nice piece. Congratulations.
