Some other interesting things came out of that cabin including a shop register from the 1700s with an entry of a sale to George Washington.
They do not produce a tone that would be consistent with western scales so Japanese is a good guess.
These were found by my father in a fallen down cabin in southeast Virginia in the 60's. Any clues would be helpful. [ATTACH]
