If it was an 1856 the value would be in the high range of $10k but an 1857 as a general rule doesn't command much of a premium.
I think it has the opportunity to be an interesting piece. Let me know if you see the need to part with it before any one else works on it.:)
Many times there is a manufacturer stamp and even a date on the back or bottom of the furniture. The dovetails reflect mass production equipment...
