JMHO, I would call it mosaic, micro mosaic has much, much smaller pieces. But like I said, JMHO :)
Could b garnet, could be glass. No matter what the stone is it's a nice piece :)
I think when you get it if you take a photo of each cameo straight on (not angled) it would help. Also photos of the undersides of the porcelain...
