I agree with fur or coat clip. I see a "human" figure in the brass elements with the black part being a head. Maybe I'm dreaming...Have you done...
The only mark is "14K" on each post. I see "wreathes" but I doubt that is what the designer had in mind. Here are the backs:[ATTACH]
You had somewhat better luck than I. Surprised I didn't see that. Thanks for the effort!
I'm thinking Celtic but I tried a Google image search and several text searches using 14K/garnet heart/Celtic earrings with no matches. What do...
I agree, crafter-made. Rousselet typically used beads with less obvious seams and smoother facets as well as clasps that complimented the design...

I don't see Egyptian style or Neiger characteristics. And during their time clip backs were not used.
I agree with Marie and would add it looks cast, not stamped. Too generic to expect to ID a maker.
Hmm, disturbing! But this mark is on the SIDE and there is no evidence of sizing inside or out...
Hope they answer back. Either way, it would be useful info. And, your pix are very good!
The mark is on the side, very rarely do jewelers size rings at the side. And, it's in like-new condition so I'm confident it's original. Thanks,...
