I found this lying on a sandbar in a local creek. Just curious how old it is? Has a vey heavy cast body and says Great Lakes followed by 3 stars...

I have spent a good bit of time picking the crud off of this bust, and although I couldn't seem to get it all, I think the cleaned up version...
It was found in Shenandoah County, Virginia
[ATTACH] It measures 52.6 mm tall 32.9 mm wide. Partial lead back, maybe where an attachment once was. Do you think it is a cast cape pin?
