I think it might have had a bird's head shaped cup with it. The hole is a mystery as it's clearly original. I suspect that it is French.

Francisco is right. This is not Japanese satsuma but much more recent Chinese and not worth a great deal.

I think that is a mid 19th century uniform. Here is Prince Albert wearing similar epaulettes, high collar and double buttons. [ATTACH]

It’s a nice one. I suggest early 19th c but could be earlier.
This fine bowl is unmarked and has no label but image searches suggest it is Murano AVeM with Tutti Frutti and Latticino Canes. it measures 23cm...
Mind you our local charity shop makes a lot of money out of my mistakes.

The eBay one is definitely printed and the pattern looks pretty identical to yours so I would tend to leave it.
Virtually impossible to judge without seeing it but it looks good quality.
I'm not saying it is this quality but it might give you a lead for further research...
