I'm sure there is a hardness test, scratching the stone with something to see if the stone is softer or harder then the tool you are scratching...
There is no way to confirm jade from a photo, we can only guess. The only way to know if it is, or is not jade, is to have it tested with a gem...

Make sure you clean the beads before testing. Dirt, like cigarette smoke, can give you a false positive!
