The gold buyers around here are criminal. The offer is usually around 65%. I am getting 95% from the refiner.
I used to work for a jewelry store and we always sent jewelry in oversized FedEX boxes. Had thought about that for metals but Registered Mail is...
LOL!.... Yes it did. The only bright spot in this saga. Check is supposed to go out Monday. Price has dropped a little since the all time high...
Nice accomplished painting. I am also surprised by the lack of information. With all the emphasis on the Taos painters, you would think she...
Had mentioned that I was sending gold to a Midwest refinery with good success. My most recent shipment (about $5K worth) got lost in the mail. It...
Think early 20th century (post WWI to 1930s) and really would not call it Chippendale. Sort of a mish-mash of styles, as was the wont from the...
Great find!
Looks like it reads, MARVOLLE?
New pics are very helpful. 20th century chair in the style-of. Not really a reproduction as it doesn't really replicate a Chippendale chair. It...
Pics not sufficient to evaluate well. Does show some promise with the edge beading but styling is not the most elegant I have seen.
Nice chair and appears to be legitimately 19th century. Probably circa 1880. Unfortunately, not much in favor these days and reproductions...
Even some Americans have been detained when re-entering the country.:sour:
I don't hate it but think something a bit more subdued would show the lamp off better. Right now, the shade is the star and I think the base more...
Agree with a late 19th to early 20th century date. Probably no later than 1920. No idea what kind of art to expect in Australia so really no...
The copper foil gets completely covered by the solder.
Circa 1925. Form not often seen. Most likely American but can't tell you who made it.
Yep, reproduction 70s or so. Copper foil technique is a form of leading. It is the way most stained glass mosaic lamp shades are made.
Used to have a lot more value than they do now. Don't think the florals as popular as the landscapes. Even so, $10.00 is a wholesale offer at best.
Hard to tell under all that paint. I get more of a Mexican vibe than Spanish due to the crudeness of the drawer. Could even be an Asian colonial...
Nice fixture. Think the ceramic sockets are replacements. Would at least paint the outer ring to match better. A small clear or amber exposed...
