They show the signature in one of the pictures. Looks like maybe they read/interpreted it wrong.

Condition and dust jacket is my quick guess as to differing values. The correct dust jacket in good shape can sometimes be 90% of the books value....
Just do a google search for "double harvard lamp made by Plume and Atwood" and you'll see a number of pictures with shades, and links for sales....
They look like the drawers to a sewing machine cabinet that have been fastened together.
