I think you are right on the date, and I think this may be a Mexican piece . A rural cabinet maker most likely.
Show us! :)
Is it silver?
Yes,thats what Ive always understood.
Please ! I cringe if I spend more than $5 !
That was my second favorite !
Ive always wanted a porcelain Monkey Band !
I was the only 6 year old who knew who Janis Joplin and Jimmie Hendrix were ! Piece of my heart is still a favorite ! It was very interesting...
Lovely table. It does look a little low,I wonder if the middle post was cut down?
The only thing I remember about the movie was some teen getting stoned and jumping off a roof. Growing up I had a teenage uncle that lived with us...
I *think* the cut marks means they were seconds. Very pretty in their simplicity.
Yet another thing i learned on this board ! I had no idea about KP .
Do you really think you'd get that much ? I knew these were popular a few years ago,but I didnt think they brought a huge amount.
Looks like soapstone. Could you get a pic against a solid color background? Its an interesting looking piece.
LOVE that color !
Could be anywhere, but usually on the bottom. I bet its under 40 layers of paint. A pair ? How lucky ! I love a pair of anything !
That would drive me bonkers ! Its all Id see when I looked at it. I know they sell a spray to make glass look frosted, but I dont know how it'd be...
What a cool piece ! Im not sure he represents anyone, more a generic "Oriental" theme. I agree possibly English, maybe some of our British boardies...
Looks Victorian to me. I bet it weighs a ton. Id think somewhere on it is a manufacture's name, could be under layers of paint.
I google searched my head off too,yet I found zilch. ! Thank you so much, now I know. :)
