These are transitional from Renaissance Revival to Eastlake ….. elements of both. Circa 1880.
Yep …. circa 1850. Shame that this furniture is not in fashion these days. Still a lot of use in this.
Can't disagree with Ownedbybear on this. Definitely an antique at this point.
Would go with 20s-30s on this. Looks to be birch with a mahogany stain. Refinished at some point.
My off-the-cuff thought is 50s Italian or Bohemian for the glass.
Weller made a lot of pieces that don't quite fit the various lines. I wouldn't be too concerned about ascribing a pattern name to this.
Since you are not getting any input, I will take a stab. Note that this is only my gut feeling, as I am not an expert, and may give you an avenue...
Interesting piece. Is the design at the top paint or inlay? Tell us what you know about it. Where and when did your great grandmother live?...
Have seen many prints by this artist over the years. The work is of consistently good quality as is the quality of the printing, despite being...
20s deco brass box that may have had gilt flashing originally. The medallion is probably celluloid. Think the hinge a bit deformed so that it...
Here is another lamp with the same base as the second that has not been modified [IMG]
Don't see anything wrong with this base. Table lamp made in the manner of the more typical floor lamps. Think the top socket and harp are later...
No doubt, Weller Roma. Have seen marked examples of this form.
What AJ said …… Often called a Roman Chair. Circa 1890 and appears to be oak. Think England is also a possibility
Can't say I have seen a glass and metal arts and crafts style box quite like this. Something about it says Continental rather than English or...
Have no problem assigning a late 19th century date to this. I can not speak to the tapestry being period to the frame. Based on the quality, I...
Intriguing …. size? Have seen similar small tags on keys used for swimmer's lockers at pools. Made of copper/brass to withstand the immersion...
Would agree with a 30s-40s date on this. Don't see much quartersawn oak on this. The small interior drawers have some, as do some of the...
Nice furniture find this week. Solid mahogany, 6' long, and about 4 1/2' tall. Bought at the Salvation army for $125. Found out it had been...
Could be as early as 1900 but were made for at least a couple decades.
