Not quite right but better than what was on it.
Late Victorian circa 1900 oak. You can compare it to similar others from the same era, as the name doesn't necessarily impart any value.

Have had a few of these over the years. There is also a red/yellow version. Think not terribly old and probably an import. 50's-60s?
Likely mahogany - combination of veneers and solids. Some of the solid wood pieces are probably of a lesser wood that has been stained to match.
Looks like pine with that knot in the drawer.
You may never find out anything more. What you have is more than most find out about their antique pieces.
That doesn't look like a factory art signature to me. Fr. de Almenara (or similar) is what I get. I find nothing searching along those lines....
BTW, this is not a French dovetail. Not sure if it has an exact name but some kind of modified dado joint.

These generally had working locks. Keys are not complex and pretty easy to find. Take out one of the locks and take it to a locksmith....
