The clasp and hook don't match the color of the chain. I'd bet they were added when the original broke and maybe the other necklace was broken...

A tube hinge says older but the rest of the brooch is Haskelly. Scandinavia still uses tube hinges on some traditional brooches the last I heard....

My guess is it's a factory piece; the artisans put the full marks on theirs, but factories usually just do the fineness mark and Mexico.
