What does it feel like? Some older ivory pieces feel like a bar of soap when you rub a finger on them.
If it's bright pink and shiny, you're generally in. I think the oval one is an amethyst too.
It looks like an oversize brandy snifter on a really long stem. Ususally they're squatty.
Stuff a piece of foam under the seat and...problem solved.
