What are fire iron rests?
Have any of you seen brass used IN a fireplace, where it's subjected to the intense heat of burning wood (or coal)? I haven't...an' I've been...
I doubt they're fire-dogs...or otherwise meant to suffer flame. If the pair in the first pic were place-changed, so the space between were high...
The head appears to be of plywood...an' possibly jig-sawn versus band-sawn. I like it!
