You could also try a hairdryer on cool to shift dust. I’d not use compressed air, too harsh. It’s a lovely thing.
You can also ping with it sitting flat on the palm. If you hold the stem it dampens the resonance so you don’t hear the ringing.
Not a knock off as such, it’s just not made on Murano, and is probably Chinese. Good glass was made in China long before the west cottoned on! ;)
I’d just clean it gently with a soft old paintbrush and blow on it. Maybe a cotton bud, damp, on the leaves, and wipe the pot with a damp micro...
Clarity of glass, quality of cut. Does it have a lovely clear singing ring to it? Does it sit nicely balanced on the flat of your hand?
