It's hard to see what it really looks like from a photo.... The bail appears to hand stamped wire,the bottom border possibly twisted wire filled...
25-30 years ago you could not mark pieces with more than 1 type of metal,besides that the "gold" piece is bezel set like a stone.

Maybe take a closer look,where I worked it would have gone into the recycle bin long before the prongs were soldered on and the stones set.
