The material may be flint, a stone used because of the way it breaks to form sharp edges. Flint (k)nappers make these. Saw a demo once and tried it.
That sticker means they were underwriters lab approved they didn’t make them. There may be a approval number on the sticker from underwriters...
It a nice trunk, especially the intact label, but as verybrad said the demand and prices today are very low. I think its a issue of what the heck...
