What size is the object?
The clasp appears to be broken.
It may feel good,but it should have gone into the recycle bin.Look at the backside and solder joints.
The stone could be some type of jasper.The pendant is poorly constructed,looks like student made and they needed to attend many more classes.
Possibly Maori inspired.

The stone may be sillimanite.
The mark on the turtle looks like this "&" backwards.

The solder and cut off peg are part of the center stone setting. The stones are bezel set.
What size is it,looks like it was sized up 2 times.Prongs appear to have been retipped also.

Looks like the piece has been damaged and some what repaired.
One of my brother-in-laws was stationed on a sub tender for a number of years as a MM.They called the ship the USS Never Sail as it was attached...
Looks like a crude casting probably made in the ships machine shop by someone stationed on the ship for 2 years.
