The edge detail motif shown in photograph #2 is a typical New Guinean Sepik river device.
Take photographs of dark objects on neutral or dark backgrounds or even better use spot metering otherwise photo will be underexposed
Photos are difficult to see as they are exposed for the background rather than the item but this looks like a Sepik Stool to me
