Typical that one had to be in not great shape! I think they spell it 'Sphinx'. Thanks for the info, don't think I would have figured that mark out!
I've taken another look. It's quite hard to tell as the mark is a little fuzzy (the loupe doesn't help). My eyes are crossing looking at it lol....

Hi, yes you can buy them relatively cheaply online. You can kind of tell when you are looking at them without black light in the stores etc...
