We called them bulls-eye mirrors back when I dealt in them. above pic is just a repair - I think it may indeed be a wooden mirror AFAIK syroco...

Well it is Chinese, paintwork is a bit odd IMO so thinking 20thc but have not had a piece like this so can't say when exactly ...not earlier though.

Original would be gilded, not painted with gold powder like this and have other bits attached like an eagle, rockwork, acanthus and sometimes...
