Oops! Can't believe I misspelled the name, and more than once! Thanks for the correction.
Not Blenko. That item is not in their catalog. He-Man (above) might be right, that it's a watering pitcher for house plants. Maybe Mexico??
Not terribly high. I'm wondering what its use was since you say it's small. Custard maybe? Possibly for some food that is unique to Scotland?...
BTW, I would have snatched up that vase regardless of the silver content or being plated. It is just gorgeous and it sings to me. You do have a...
Please post again with a photo when you have it polished. I'd love to see it in its glory!
It's an old mark, 1882 - 1890, for the Martial Reddon Co. It's a pretty bowl and looks to be a large serving bowl.
Looking at the tarnish, I thought the piece looks like it would be fairly easy to polish, unlike plate which is usually difficult and frequently...
I know you asked for people to comment who picked #3, but may I be disobedient? The tarnish on the pitcher doesn't look like silverplate tarnish.

Ive seen this shape hung around the neck of a wine sommelier. It's what they use to taste wine in restaurants before declaring it a good choice....
It doesn't surprise me at all that you found these plates for that low price. Doesn't happen often, but it does happen. I've come to believe...
What a beauty! Good luck with it! PS I wouldn't let that tray go for a mere $63, it's worth much more.
Just had to look up that pattern, just gorgeous. The salad forks are truly odd, but they look like they would be very efficient in stabbing at...
This silverware has the old Gorham marks and those pieces can sometimes be way more specific. Old time silver had a utensil for everything. If...
In the painting the castle looked moated to me, but some of the water was taken over by vegetation. The painting was done in the 1870s and the...
The longer I look at these chairs, the more I like them. One last observation, they look like a set that was split up, for instance, half to one...
Is it possible that the seat covers are not original? My great Aunt did needlepoint and replaced the covers of all her chairs with her own...
