It could be either,many schools and jewelry stores have inside ring engraving machines........
A beginner engraver tries to copy the Sturdy and sterling marks with a dull graver? A couple of teenagers probably could have done a better job...
The mark and sterling are poorly hand engraved,probably the store's mark and not the manufacturer.

OK,just wondering since natural red quartz does not exist.Looked it up and most are artificially colored in China.
Did the red beads test as quartz? In the photos they look like glass.
