Take a clear photo of both sides of the "cut". The photo above does not appear to be a cut edge.
Looks like someone engraved it with a dull screw driver,leaving the guide lines in not professional.
Looks like a low dome triplet,can you see black around the edges? It also appears that the bezel isn't holding the stone in the setting.
Blacksmith's/repurposed blade? The ricasso looks filed and "dented" the blade area next to the ricasso has deep area also.
