Do you think it’s from a commercial hobbyist mold or could be by some of the known US makers?
Unfortunately, Japanese glass makers are not well documented, at least online. But I can find quite a few with labels so that’s a good start.
I’m not familiar with Japanese glass but I was surprised to find that a lot of it resembles Murano, Czech and Scandinavian glass.
They use copper backing and then dissolve it in acid.
