Porcelain is translucent, so hold it up to a strong light and see if any shines through. However, as was said above, latter half of the 19th c....
Interesting info. I usually think first half of 20th c when I see those stamped Chinese marks on the base.
Those are the most elaborate costumes that I've seen on busts of these types. :)
