@BMRT Use a MM ruler,most European ring sizes are mm and measure the inside diameter.
Looks larger than a size 4.

I found the mold for the piece at college 30 years ago,no idea how old the original pendant was.
It is in a 3/4 inch by 2 inch glass dome filled with water.Australian semi crystal opal,but I don't remember what it weighs.
This was my step father's bosun pipe,he was a Boatswain's mate for 24 years.I was also told it was his father's pipe pre WW2. [ATTACH]
