There are groups that specialize in British transferware. I think there is one on FaceBook. But the boardies here have nailed down the date for...
No marks? I would think 1950s/60s from the style.
Interesting. Looks like an unfinished piece because it looks like the Coalport patterns that have the blue and lots of gilding, so this one...
I’m gonna try 1899!
Yes, there was and still is a fad for hobbyists to choose a piece of greenware, paint and glaze it and then it would be fired for them. My mom...
I like the jug with the moulded vines in the middle. I would rescue it, too!
I think SIS may be right, but it also reminds me of the Unterweissbach mark as well. Couldn’t find an example, though.
These are most likely German, late 19th/early 20th c. Conte and Boehm made many.
Thanks to Chris, my post was pretty good! :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
Likely one of the Staffordshire factories. Without a name and just a crown, it will be hard to find. But first half of 20th c IMHO.
Welcome Lorraine. Here’s a site to get you started: http://www.thepotteries.org/allpotters/470.htm Thepotteries.org is excellent for...

Never seen cutouts like that either, but doesn’t mean there aren’t any. The painting, rest of the shape, and the bronze gilded handle all look...
Very nice quality. Odd that it is not marked. I’ve seen cups with those small bits for feet on German/Bohemian wares of the late 19th/early 20th...
I agree. Nice looking pair, but the damage will affect value. However, I think $100 is a good buy, and as another collector told me, “You can...
Saxe is German.

Thanks, Debora. It may be that Cottier is a family name. I was thinking a kit because of the religious quote — her mom was quite religious.
Well, I thought some of the colours were more 20th c. than 19th, but I’ll post some close ups and the back a little later. Thanks!
Separate names with a comma.
