I'll look into Empoli.
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] I don't know about ceiling lamp. The base loooks like made to sit on surface and quite of wear on the foot rim.
Thanks. Do you have a picture of the jar in your books? I can't find any images online.
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] Looking for the maker. Thanks
Thank you both.
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] The clapper is not original so I guess it could have been a glass.
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] Maker/Origin? Thanks
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] Any idea of origin?
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] Bohemian? Not very old?
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] Trying to ID the maker. Thanks
Well, could not find it. Unless I've missed it or it is from the pre-designer period or not Blenko at all.
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] I'll start checking the Blenko catalogues but just in case someone recognizes it.
It's opaque and stays black when held against light. Should only glass clink when tap on teeth? I'd think some stones would do that as well.
No holes.
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] It's pitch black so I can tell if stone or glass. What do you think?
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] Kind of cool but surely modern. Maybe there were more than one and hang on a jade tree.
Ok, so it's done with slip clay. I thought is more like carved. I guess tube lined is ok then.
Tubelining would be like slip decoration. Cloisonne should involved wires which can stay or be removed. I guess those tiles have the appearance...
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] I guess quite recent, made in Asia... Not sure what are those supposed to be, Chinese taotie masks, Mayan...
Thanks. I already figured they called them cloisonne which in not quite correct. I'd say enameled maybe.
Separate names with a comma.
