Odd table. Don't think it is really Victorian but would need more pics to verify. I am getting a more 70s- 80s classical retro vibe from this...
Better than I suspected and agree with Owned on a 50s Italian date. Later ones have thin plywood panels for backs and drawer bottoms.
Might not all be marked if purchased at different times and/or places. BTW: It is Ernst Wahliss.
Really need to see the back and drawer/case construction. Just based on the lack of quality to the brass mounts, would say this is pretty recent.
These look brass and rather new. I just don't see the casting quality I would expect from truly old ones.
I have also learned in this forum that hand cut dovetails persisted in England among some makers much longer than they ever were done here.
These are machine cut. Drawer pulls indicate circa 1920 with quite a bit of leeway either way.
Plate hanger?
Circa 1930 and likely English in origin. As others said, a revival piece not really replicating any one true style. I, also, would be tempted to...
Late to this but agree with a 20s-30s date and English in origin. Definitely oak.
Could be true but would not take this as a hard and fast rule. Whether or not the work is pleasing to buyers would be the primary determinant....
Roman chair over here.
Probably not finding much since it is just used furniture at this point. Most would not know or care what line it is from. Styling suggests 70s-80s.
Can't add much more. Agree with an art nouveau designation. Definitely not American and thinking more likely Continental than English.
I might add that if you are finding bargain prices for his work right now, it would be the time to buy. IMHO, his is investment quality art that...
The art market is pretty volatile and subject to whims of fashion and the economy. Value often has more to do with subject matter, although,...
Looks like a real painting to me …. albeit an amateur one.
Not very sure about this one. Doesn't scream African but think this is probably the origin. Wait for others to come along that may have better...
Look like relatively modern import nightstands. Most likely from Indonesia.
My gut reaction is that this is a rather new import. Bears some similarity to French art glass but not a match. For comparison, here is an...
