I think you are right about older bottles being heavier but this one is too light even for a newer piece. About 9" tall and just 7.8 ounces.
I think there are other countries that used 835 as well. Like Czechoslovakia, Norway... Can't figure what is the mark you asked about.

About 7 3/4 at the tallest points. Sounds like pottery.
