Beautiful! Amazing that all of the stitching is tight.
I thought that little bit of applied carved wood trim on the doors was unusual. I guess not!
I just bought a very similar one for DS and DDL's new house: [ATTACH]
They are rather adorable. Are the other bear and the donkey for sale? If so, does the seller have any more information on them?
It looks like there are some really interesting articles Spring. Thanks!
Well, they've taken something unattractive and made it truly hideous.
I agree - leg for a stove or tub.
Welcome Mistyjo.
Yours is much more attractive. The wood has a nicer patina, and the upholstery is beautiful. It's hard to believe they are the "same item."
They're very nice Shangas. And they have a great story to go with them!
Yes Janet - it seems that each vase was decorated individually and slightly differently.
I rarely see black glass. However, I rarely see true amethyst glass either, but when I do, it often looks like this, and in order to see that...
That brings up a big rant for me - why do so many sellers NOT display the bottom of the ceramics or glassware they are selling?
Wow sis - it looks exactly the same from the front. The base is narrower than the top on that one.
Is that first one amethyst glass?
Strong color ... hmmpf ... understatement of the year ...:p:)
Thanks Crowleys.
YES!!!! That's the true color!!!
I'll have to get some better photos - these don't do it justice. :p:D:eek:
