C8753B5B-8639-479F-B5BB-54FE6DF4677C.jpeg I have seen this vase on eBay again and again for months with no takers. When it turned up again this week I made the seller an offer as I found it interesting at a massive 41cm tall. The offer was accepted and it’s now on it’s way.
After a long search I found that it sold at auction in Glasgow described as a Staffordshire moon flask which is the description that the eBay seller also used.

I am pretty certain that it is Japanese in the Nippon style ( though unmarked) and dating to c1930

    Any thoughts?

John, people will want to see more photos, especially of the base.

Whatever it is, I'd say not English. I'd think Austrian or German.

    My guess would be Nippon.

It arrived today. It really is enormous and in better condition than I expected. Not to everybody’s taste (not mine for sure) but a pretty monumental piece. I’m sure there’s something like it in one of my Japanese porcelain books. B77AA192-E627-4C26-A40A-8B267EBE8346.jpeg 38B56DD5-1BBD-4249-8000-C41685026C66.jpeg
