    Need help.I can't seem to find this item anywhere.Maybe someone can help.Look like a teapot or whiskey silver plate jug.Front engraved,"Lord Baltimore,Maryland Rye SAM_0001.JPG SAM_0002.JPG SAM_0004.JPG

    Just barely 1800s, as the firm was organized in 1894. Seems odd to have that engraved "label" for rye whisky that seems "commercial" but they did start making a line of hotel and restaurant hollowware early on. I would think it unlikely that a whisky distiller would package their product this way - much more expensive than glass bottles. But how big is it?

    Measured from top without handle about 8",with handle 8.5",bottom about 4" Hard to measure width considering the shape.

    Can you confirm that the spout is open to the inside (I didn't want to assume.)

    Yes it is,there's a silverplate top with cork in spout.

    Well, I guess it could be a personal-sized flask or similar....

    What is the interior lined with? Glass or ceramic? How much does it hold? While I don't think it's a usual consumer container, is it possible that it was available to bars/saloons/hotels for table service?

    I have no idea what it's lined with,maybe glass.
