Unfortunately they couldn’t identify the artist from their records (they noted the 1856 date pre-dates the Society) They noted that is an interesting work and worth further investigation. They commented that the work showed insight into the subject portrayed and is a thoughtful piece. They further suggest contacting some leading auction houses in the UK for possible assistance.
