I'm about to list this on eBay...but aside from Blue, I'm unable to describe its color.

To me, it's too dark for Robins-egg, way too light for Sapphire, Electric might work but seems too modern.
I'm stumped, and don't even know where to begin looking for color charts or matches that may help.

Oh, yeah...under UV it goes absolutely clear!

    Please? Thanks!

Aqua marine. Turquoise. Careful with those colours. I once had an irate lady shouting the odds about a cup and saucer I had missold her. I dared to describe it as jade, and she demanded a refund even though it was exactly as shown in the photos.

My vote would be electric blue- site below shows a range of electric blue colors. Wikipedia also says that "The first recorded use of electric blue as a color name in English was in 1845.[1][2] The color electric blue (the version shown below as medium electric blue) was in vogue in the 1890s.[3]"

The way color looks can depend on so much such as background color, lighting, monitor or screen settings etc.

Yes. Colour is a perception rather than an absolute.

Peacock blue. (A 1920s evening dress in that color.)

I'm leaning heavily into Azure as a reasonable descriptor.

I express deep gratitude for all your responses and suggestions.

The help just never ends here. Thanks, all of you!!

That's all you can do, up against such an attitude. Years ago I got such a complaint on a small purchase. Refunded purchase & shipping immediately & allowed the buyer to keep the item. Next day got a neutral feedback, questioning my integrity. Some of 'em y'can't win, at all!

Mediterranean blue might be good for a bathroom.

Whit-Nay to put your Ebay listing on hold for just a wee sec.But I ken ye might grab a couple more period brackets for that bonnie blue bar-should be able to dress up that bluebonnet lassie for a few shillings (and pocket a few extra pounds).

But...2 is all it needs to function, an' it's only a foot anna half long! Any similar brackets would probably need refinishing, and these cost me $5 each for the bead blast & powder coat work.

I sense I'm missing something here...but can't quite put my fanger onnit! He'p me out, eh?

Whit-You're right, the star of the show is the amazing glass bar itself. If somebody pays $200 for this they can buy their own brackets .Just don't let the Grandkids swing from the damned thing !
