1930s??????

    I'm hoping you can settle an argument for me. How old Iare my chairs? I found them on the street in the Netherlands in 2000. I'm just recovering them in that red flower material. The old covering was a very 1980s design, and the boards under each seat that the material was attached to l were obviously made from a variety of peices of scrap fibreboard/MDF/etc. I guess this means by the 80s they were old enough to have worn out the boards below the seats. I think they're 1930s. My son disagrees. I need some authoritative voices to put us straight.

    I think more 70s-80s and I love the flowers ! Just an amateur so do wait for others.

    Welcome Indigo. Nice chair, it looks like it could be Amsterdamse School, with those squares, dark wood and chunky look. So 1930s would be right.
