    Maybe it is something a "Master of the Hunt" would wear to show his status.
    I think it may be for the Master of the Hunt. IF I am not mistaken one of the uses for a horn was by the Master of the Hunt was that he blew the horn to send signals
    to the hunting dogs as well as to the hunters.
