I am cleaning my basement and have two chairs that were my moms. Any value to either one? The child rocking chair was built by Bent & Brothers. Not sure about the larger rocking chair. I am thinking of giving away but would like to know if there is any value to either one before I do. Thanks. IMG_0998.jpg IMG_0996.jpg IMG_0995.jpg

The first one is an American oak press back rocker from around 1900 give or take a few years.

Second one is renaissance revival. Circa 1880.

Is the oak one the child's rocker?
If so Doll Collector's sometimes buy those. Although Dolls are on the low side right now, as is everything else.

The second one appears to be a Lady's rocker.

Unfortunately the demand for rockers has fallen off to virtually nothing. I purchased two ca. 1890 walnut rockers, one a platform model nicely trimmed in burl, for $17.00 each. Two years later I had to give them away; I could literally not get $5.00 apiece.
