Featured 2 sterling marks on bowls, anyone recognize"

    Any tips on these marks. The first bowl has sort of a "V" mark but it looks like there might be letters in there I can't make out. Second bowl has a partial stamp. Both are marked Sterling and numbered.

    First one is Rogers, Lunt and Bowlen

    On my way to work. Second one is a standing lion I think. That S looking line is his tail

    The second looks to be the Whiting Mfg. chimera mark...

    Thanks. Alas, these were not new finds, I'm just clearing some stuff out.

    Almost never find sterling anymore. Too many sellers/shoppers know what is what, and the GW pulls all of it.

    I'm really ticked. I got this beautiful Mexican plated piece, a long tray with an incredible abalone handle, it's signed, a work of art. Big cut mark in the side, now thinking the GW was testing it for silver on the edge. I can't think of anything else that would make that cut.
