I found this not too long ago. Looked very strange as its fairly small (4 inches by 2 and 3/8 inch) and wasn't sure what it was. One thing that was interesting was that the public were allowed to just stroll around next to it. Today, there would be a police barricade around it.

Well, it's 8 1/2" x 5" now, and it still looks pretty strange.....what looks even stranger is that if I'm seeing correctly, some of the women looked to be pretty dressed up in long coats and 'mink'? collars and the men are in suits & hats!!!

I'd think that was more likely than another type of disaster. No evidence of earthquake or fire, for instance.

In what state did you find your photograph?

Fur-collared coats a fashion of the time. Typical street wear in a more formal age, as were the hats.

Tornado or Storm seems more likely as the damage seems to have hit separate parts of buildings, yet let some tall solitary ones stand....although probably damaged too.......

If actually taken in WA, tornadoes are rare here. I'm more inclined to earthquake.

True, I was hoping there might be a sign visible to help ID the place.

Not much. Is it a RPPC? If so, what's on the back?

No, it's not a RPPC. It's way too small. There was nothing on the back except what looked to be a photo developer chemical smudge of about 1/3 sq inches.

I have to get off of here now, but can someone throw 'earthquakes' into that search for that rough time search??????

I was not the one who asked you about the photo being an RPPC. That was Debora.
